Le Preziose - Perlescente

Perlescente is the decorative paint of the Antiche Terre Fiorentine line that allows you to fill the rooms of your home with iridescent light tricks that change every time you observe the walls from a different angle. The unique feature of this product is the presence of metallic powders that become “activated” by light as it filters into the rooms, causing the paint to vary its tone and create spectacular effects of shadow and chiaroscuro. Perlescente is available in six different finishes: Arezzo, Siena, Lucca, Pisa, Livorno and Grosseto.

In line with the most advanced ecofriendly technologies emerging from Candis’ own research and development laboratories, Perlescente combines heightened beauty with the tough resistance that a wall needs to survive over the years.

Antiche Terre Fiorentine - Perlescente

Perlescente is a decoration of the Antiche Terre Fiorentine Candis line, belonging to Le Classiche family. Averagely transpiring and ecologic, it is a base of natural oxides and resins of a very high technological quality in a watery solution. Perlescente is available in the following finishes: Arezzo, Grosseto, Livorno, Lucca, Pisa and Siena. Each finish must be marche with the same ATF base: Perlescente Arezzo – ATF Arezzo base; Perlescente Grosseto – ATF Grosseto base; Perlescente Livorno – ATF Livorno base; Perlescente Lucca – ATF Lucca base; Perlescente Pisa – ATF Pisa base; Perlescente Siena – ATF Siena base. The decorating cycle foresees the wall application on a white ATF base, and over it, spread Perlescente added with one of the 6 types of powdered pearl of light, to obtain the desired tonality. To get an excellent result, the white ATF base must be applied with a pasting brush, a roller, or spray with the appropriate compressor. Two coats are advisable, the first by diluting with 20-25% water, and the second with 15-20%.

Preparation

Antiche Terre Fiorentine - Perlescente, preparazione

Before proceeding with the decoration, make sure that the ATF white base is totally dry.

Pour the type of chosen pearl of light into the preferred tin of Perlescente finish and mix accurately with a spatula and after with a slow speed mechanical mixer until the powder has completely disappeared.

Using a Candis ATF brush, glove, sponge or cloth, spread the decoration, working it with alternated and crossed intervals on a 1-2 square metre surface and regulate it with a dry brush.

After about 5-10 minutes, smooth the wall with an ATF Candis spatula to obtain the final effect.

Continue the wall decoration by following the same procedure.
